Hello all, As you may have seen, the wiki has been down for a little while. Due to the captcha system having reached its end of life, I initiated an upgrade of the wiki platform. Things went great until I ran into some complications. I've been fixing them so far. Things should go back to normal sometime tomorrow. I still have a bit of testing to do regarding some of the issues. I'll keep you updated as soon as this is completed. As you may have seen, the site has also been refreshed: https://www.detectiveconanworld.com (the homepage may still change some more in the near future). Hi everyone, As you may have seen already, the site's design was refreshed a bit: - We're now using new fonts throughout the site (besides the forum and wiki). - The main site is now responsive (mobile-friendly). - The homepage was revamped. The banner may change in the near future. - There's a new simple template of the Wiki's mobile version. Besides the design, the forum was upgraded to the latest version as well as the wiki (which required that I reworked some of the custom plugins for DCW, hence why it took more time than expected). Hello! Thank You for visiting here. After a long time thinking, finally I decided to upload my drawings. So, here they are: Conan Edogawa - It is the still from the movie "The Last Wizard Of The Century". Kaitou Kid - I found the Kid's picture on google and decided to give it a try. DC - I took ideas from the manga covers, posters, movie stills, etc. Hope you like them.

The updates are almost over. There are a few minor issues that I need to address. Since it requires a bit of testing (due to the changes that come with the latest version of the Wiki platform), it might take another day or so. Thank you for your patience.

Hey guys I've always liked getting on the wiki and reading the episode synopsis' but lately it's been telling me to sign in...so I created this account (like 5 mins ago) and it's still not letting me in?? is there a time limit? Thank you for your help!

Hello everyone, I've been having a problem lately getting into the anime and wiki sections of this website. Every time I try to get to them from here by clicking on the tabs, it says error page not found, as it does whenever I click some of the other tabs. When I try to get directly to the wiki page through a bookmark I have saved, it tells me I need to sign in (even though im always automatically signed in) and I sign in anyway with what im sure is the correct username and password, even trying multiple options and it still tells me the same thing. This is a problem because I rely on the wiki in order to know which episodes are filler and get info on some things prior to watching them and I've been using this website for at least 2 years and this has never happened to me before. Is anyone else having problems like this or is it just me?

Hello and nice to meet you! You can call me Helvig. I started reading Conan sometime around 2006 and followed the series actively until 2013 or so, when I got too busy with studies and life to keep reading. Now after a pause of almost 10 years I've found myself back in this never-ending time-loop of murders and mysteries. I'm currently rereading the series at around volume 30, so there's still a long way to go. I've actually never read past volume 77 (since the scans were almost non-existent at the time) so I'm eagerly waiting for when I'll reach content that is new for me. Not sure how active I'll be on the forum (is the forum even active in general..?), but I'll see if I can do something to help with the wiki. It's such an amazing resource, well done everyone who has contributed!

To me it seems that the younger brother is planning to use the bombs to kill the three men, most likely because he blames them for his brother's death.

I'm don't know if the brother killed the manager of the farm. But I do think that he was the one who put him in the bed. The corpse was lying on the bed under a cover with his eyes closed. But since he was strangle and the bed seems to be placed in a corner, I think it's unlikely that he was strangled while lying down in it. The fact that he was placed in bed after his death suggests that someone showed him some last respect. And that would most likely be the younger brother. It's possible that the manager comitted suicide by hanging and his brother found him, got him down and placed him in the bed.

Just watched the trailer, it looks promising. I'm excited for subaru-sera confrontation.

I ate a piece of cake last night. Eating it wasn't difficult at all -- in fact, it was a.. uh, piece of cake... to get down.

Recently I stumbled over an interview with Gosho Aoyama, in which he talked about the overall state of the series. In said interview, he mentioned, that he is halfway through the story and at that point he just started his 500th chapter. For all who are a little bit capable in math, it should be obvious that this would mean DC is near it's end. And this is something I don't like to hear at all! The reason for that is not, that I think Detective Conan should go on forever. On the contrary, I want it to end with a final, which connects and finishes all story lines and exactly that's why I think Gosho should write on a little bit longer. I just feel, that the story has to many unanswered questions and lose story ends, which need more than 200 episode to be solved in a satisfying way. Haibara's story line with her parents, for example, is not finished at all, the same goes for Vermouth. We don't even know who Rum is and let's not mention the bosses identity. and to top this all off, from what we've seen of the org, it seems like an enormous organisation. You can't just shut them down easily in 20 episodes, that would seem so unrealistic. Of course the information from this interview is very vague and pretty much outdated, so we should not take it as absolutely true. Still, I think that the story won't go on for too long, so we might as well talk about it right now. So, I would love to hear your thoughts on this matter, how long will this story go on and how will it eventually end?

Hello... So I have an enormous amount of episodes to catch up on, and I had an odd thought occur to me today. If this has already happened in the series (anime or manga) I'm hoping someone can point me that direction. It boils down to this: Is there any evidence that the Black Org has continued testing Apotoxin-4869 specifically, beyond the point where Sherry took the capsule and escaped? I was just sort of mulling this over, and a couple of possibilities occurred to me: If they HAD tested it, then if it regressed their subject to childhood, they'd know that someone who they thought they'd killed was probably still alive (Kudo Shinichi) and, by extension, Sherry. So... why didn't they come after their families and close associates? Going the other direction, if they HAVEN'T tested it, why not? It was supposed to be this useful new assassination drug, right? Of course, maybe Vermouth suppressed testing and all that, but... Anyway. I'm so behind on episodes that I've probably missed all sorts of plot developments that toss these questions right out the window, but then that's why I'm asking. Was any further testing done? Did any 'children' show up? If no testing, why not? Thanks.

Hey all, my latest theory regarding the whole Rum arc. Is that most likely Hyoue & Rumi are not Rum, I cannot say I have conclusive evidence, however the mere fact that they met during the camping incident, and Rumi's confrontation with the culprit, made me feel uneasy about how Kuroda reacted. If one was Rum, the other knew, if the other person did not know, it is most likely that Rum (or them) was not in the Haneda's scene, because their level of intelligence (that may surpass Conan's) would lead them to figure the identity of Rum at the crime scene. Rumi (If she is Rum), would know Kuroda's purpose is to spy on her, and therefore would take actions to escape any chance that would lead to her identity. Kuroda (if he is Rum) would not confront Rumi, who is related to Haneda's mystery, without jeopradizing her suspisiousness towards him. If Kurodoa is Rum he would rather avoid Rumi, who might deduce who he is. If both did not know the other, I doubt Rumi would show off her skills in front of Kuroda (to her he might be Rum). Kuroda would not confront Rumi (who to him might be Rum), on the ground that he is watching over, and keeping her in a school where young lives at stake. On this basis, Rum is neither for most chances, unless proven otherwise. Kanenori, is a great candidate. But for a second in hand to command a large syndicate as big as BO, and the desire to remain unknown, would suggest he would rather attract less attention to himself, even if he tries to hide in plain sight. And his wholesome intention to become a disciple of a famous detective (Kogoro), would inspire others to look into him, such as Conan, and his quirky look, would raise questions, specially if Rum, who most likely knows about the descriptions people say about him, would mind fitting the image or a characteristic in a way or another in public. Rum would most likely, appear in the three different ways he is described, only inside the BO, while in public he would/should change his appearance to avoid any traces of him. If he have a damaged eye, he'd rather hide it or damage both eyes, if he seems feminine, he'd rather appear ambiguous looking, the same goes for a strong man. Rum, most likely, has not appeared in whole appearance to the people who described him. The BO agents, described his characteristics, based on his approach, which would raise the question of the eye problem. If all agreed, that Rum have an eye that is prosthetic or damaged, it must mean that they saw him. Yet, it might be a way of Rum to throw off descriptions of him by giving different traits, with one similar characteristic, so when he is investigated, it would mislead the investigators in something that did not exist. Again, the descriptions, have transferred to Haibara who relayed them to Conan, (Who btw, didn't even bother telling Conan Anokata's phone number, even though she was not surprised to know he figured it out), in accordance with her intentions to mislead Conan away from the BO so he would not be a matter of concern. Rum's awareness, like Gin about Sherry's escape from the BO, and that she must have had help, before her assumed death, would mean she told someone info on the BO, and Rum's different descriptions would've made their way into a stranger. Iori Muga, to me personally, is most suspicious. Like said above by MeiTanteixX, his concern over time, would relate logicaly to Rum. He has no worries about people finding out his time calculations, and he should not. Since only the people he told that time is precious, should be matter of concern to him, like Amuro, however he considers Amuro a top ranking BO agent. And following the theory of MeiTanteixX, about G & UMA, which I find to be very possible. I would not be surprised if Muga turns out to be Rum,. Another thing to consider, that Kuroda is not Rum, is the fact that he is Rei's superior. While he may still be a suspect, he would know about the agents awaiting at Kudo's residence during the Scarlet Arc. Thus, he would question the whole Akai's conversation with Rei over the phone, and the PSB that chased him, would lead to the BO's figuring out his whole fake death incident, if he is Rum. Kanenori, if Rum, would be a compromise of concealment, to be known to Kogoro, Amuro and others, as a disciple to Kogoro, with the looks he has, and the possible chance some would know of his descriptions following Haibara's escape from BO, even before her assumed death. Rumi, while as mysterious as she is, would not throw her mysterious character to be a matter of study and observation to others, if she is Rum, not to Kuroda who is in police, nor to Conan, whose skills of deduction, she know of. I cannot imagine a scenario where the 2nd in command, would not mind be around someone who can investigate him, unless he wants to. Rum, is in rush. As evident by his message to Amuro "Time is Money", mostly the general concept is that Rum's current objective is to find out any spies within the BO, while staying hidden. He/She, is currently active, while maintaining the order of BO. means he/she must balance between the two. As to why he is in hurry, it may be due to; 1. following a lead to find something out before it becomes apparent or escape. 2. To rush others to fall victims of time and therefore revealing their true allegiance, 3. to actually win something over in the least time possible. Since time is of the essence to Rum, I've been wondering if it has anything to do with Anokata himself. Since Anokata(Karasuma), is related to the whole time concept, raising the dead, over half a century of existence. I wonder if something is up that may actually be the reason why Rum is in a rush. Which would lead back to the Muga's obssession with time and seconds, and his attempt to calculate time to the second for fullest time employment. ..

Because Kohji was drugged with the earlier prototype of aptx4869 which was created by shiho's parents. Shinichi was given haibara's aptx which she created using remaining data of her parents' research.

The Facts: The next movie is set to feature Amuro. The Movie 21 teaser was seven-segment electronic display counting down from 5 with a metropolis in the background, and Amuro spoke the final countdown number Zero, a reference to the PSB. My Speculation: We will see the logical followup of the anime/movie introduced character development from Movie 20 that Rei Furuya knew Matsuda Jinpei from police academy, and learned bomb defusal from him. Someone who likes setting bombs with mysterious clues is gonna go nuts, most likely in Tokyo since that is PSB territory, and Conan, Amuro, and whatever characters of the day are being served will go put a stop it. The seven-segment display countdown is a reference to a bomb countdown display like most DC bombs use. If this is the case, I'd expect new character Hyoue Kuroda to take a front-seat role in the movie replacing Matsumoto as the shouty police pusher..

He’s even worse off than Shinichi/Conan—Nakamichi and Shinichi’s other soccer pals aren’t dead. I don’t see the point of this revelation of it isn’t to involve Taka’aki/Kōmei in the main plot—after all, you have that connection to Rei with the 0 on the envelope and Hiromitsu’s friend’s nickname AND we have the whole Rei/Shūichi/Kudōs meeting, with Hyōe aware of it. Too much is happening/adding up for this not to be an FBI/Japanese Security Bureaus/Team Conan effort against Rum and the BO due to the fallout of Shinichi’s public outing.

Hm...our wishes are the opposite then... Here's what I want: 1) Ran answering Shinichi's confession, his reaction to that, the couple going on an official date as a couple, they're getting married and having children... Basically,I want a super duper sweet ShinRan ending...oh and Mouri Ran changing her name to Kudo Ran and people calling her Mrs. Kudo (dream come true for Ran...and me hihi ) 2) Kuroba Kaito and Kudo Shinichi befriending each other after Kid and Conan take BO down to earth. You know,I just can picture Shinichi, Kaito and Heiji hanging out together like 3 good buddies... 'Being' 3 good buddies and of course,kaito has settled his revenge and no longer a Kid or maybe, he's still a Kid and have a friendly rival with Shinichi,they battle in the field but then still hang out the next day...now that would be epic! 3) A full DC-MK Crossover, even Ran and Aoko are friends...Just like ShinKaiHei, I can picture their gfs RanAoKaz hang out together, (don't get me wrong, I ship them as friends ) 4) Like everyone else, BO's history and a down to earth end for them ...I hope Vermouth and Bourbon spared cause Vermouth's nice and Bourbon's hot 5) A partner for Haibara and all the couples having a happy ending... 6) I expect an unexpected ending (if there is one ) from sensei, many fans are guessing the ending so I doubt this would happen... And many more that I can't remember at the moment...

These are certainly very virtuous traits, but they're also very generic. A decent portion of the non-murdering characters in the series fulfill these criteria to some extent or another, and there's nothing that really sets Ran apart. As for her stupidity and maturity - like I said, she's neither stupid nor immature because both of those qualities are constantly adjustable in her case. You seem to bring personal attachment up a lot, but just as you are attached to Ran or childhood friendships, so might others be attached to Ai or troubled pasts. Your love for a character is irrelevant in a discussion regarding the character's merits within the series. Do you really think it's adequate to compare the separation of ones parents to being born into a criminal lifestyle, orphaned at a young age, recruited into a criminal syndicate before you even hit puberty, and forced to work for your sister's killers under the threat of death? There are plenty of examples - on nepotism, on identity and belonging, on emotions, on appearances - but you could just her DCW Wiki page. I never implied any intrinsic purpose, I merely described Ran's roles in there series. The idea that any sort of fictional character yields any intrinsic purpose is inherently flawed, as the state of inherence denotes natural designation - something that this work decidedly lacks. You argument of intention is irrelevant, as it doesn't change the fact of significance itself. That said, while your views do sound like the antithesis of Barthes' stance, I don't think they hold any ground here, as the principle just doesn't apply - it focuses on the interpretation of subtext, not plot relevance. I don't think there's any way you could really doubt the existence of these values. Essence is realized in the discrepancy between the claims, actions, and thoughts of characters, presenting itself in the intellectual and emotional purity of a character. Necessity can be measured in the number of unique connections a character's presence within the story creates between otherwise independent entities. Finally, significance can be viewed as the number, eccentricity, and complexity of a character's intellectual/emotional contributions to the story. As I mentioned above, there are plenty of examples - on nepotism, on identity and belonging, on emotions, on appearances. Check her DCW Wiki page for more. There are countless instances of Ai solving cases before Shinichi, often demonstrating a deeper understanding of the culprit's thoughts and intentions in the process. She also yields far greater knowledge over a broad range of subjects, and tends to put far more thought into matters that require serious contemplation. The core issue underlying the organized measurement of intellect in real life is a result of the various variables in play - be it personal philosophy, education, organizational difficulty, upbringing, or local culture. These factors are either not present or not as prevalent in a work of fiction, which makes it much easier to measure established competence and/or intelligence. As for Ran - see my reply to Hobgoblin. Ran is only ever as intelligent/mature as the situation demands. Her personality is generic and her mental faculties aren't consistent. She's not a persona, she's a plot device.

I think Gosho already has a plan about this and he wants this to be special.

I'm not sure why, but people on these boards seem to forget Ayumi's giant crush on him... that being said, I've never really thought Ai or Ayumi were a good match for him, and always stand by the Shinichi/Ran pairing
