Hello all, As you may have seen, the wiki has been down for a little while. Due to the captcha system having reached its end of life, I initiated an upgrade of the wiki platform. Things went great until I ran into some complications. I've been fixing them so far. Things should go back to normal sometime tomorrow. I still have a bit of testing to do regarding some of the issues. I'll keep you updated as soon as this is completed. As you may have seen, the site has also been refreshed: https://www.detectiveconanworld.com (the homepage may still change some more in the near future). Well, this is another turning point in what passes for my existence here, namely the last one. From the time I was briefly active here (minus the previous years lurking, and the multiple years of hiatus in between, I have basically decided to hang it up. It's a bit of a polarized decision, given the fact that most of my activity was actually spent at the neighboring DCTP (which I'm most likely leaving as well) my having still made a few acquaintances here, given that my RL is even more miserable, it's actually just as frustrating staying. A number of factors have added up to this, and ultimately, it seems this is simply another chapter in my life I must bring to a close. I thank those here who were supportive and I thank those who I was able to engage in some interesting dialogues with. US

Even though the surgery was successful, he still has to stay in the hospital till summer. Until then, Detective Conan manga series will be released at an irregular pace. Link to the Wiki Article Oversights in Detective Conan I have a test article set up where I hope to catalogue oversights in Detective Conan, that is errors, plotholes, omissions, etc. It is a new type of article in that it is going to be full of opinions a bit like how tvtropes works. I am hoping it will work out considering how well speculation sections are doing across the board. If you want to add something or a rebuttal, please follow the guidelines. If you have anything to add, or suggestions on how to improve the layout, I am open to advice.

I have some random posts about this on DCTP... --- Team Shin-chan has three not-dead people: Shinichi, Shiho, and Akai, and two traitors: Amuro, Kir (and sort of Vermouth, maybe). Assuming that none of these will be discovered, does this mean the showdown with the boss is going to be repetitions of team Shin-chan sending out a not-dead person/traitor combo and then the boss going "I have a counter for that because I was paranoid!" before finally succumbing to repetitive tactics when temp antidote Shinichi takes the field? --- I think Gin is going to die in the final clash, and chances are he will do so trying to take somebody down with him. (Shiho or Shinichi are likely). Fire, explosions, or collapsing structures are likely to be involved. I think the literary need to cement him as the strongest opponent second to the boss will mean no one person's bullets or actions will be able to take him down completely, which is probably a good thing because a lot of characters owe him some payback. His Porsche may join him in death, because everyone loves expensive car destruction. Bonus points if the Porsche is used to crash a helicopter. --- My current favorite theory with no evidence to support it whatsoever is that the boss has been stuck in the body of a child for 50 some-odd years due to an accident/experiment/miscalculation that also caused Vermouth to stop aging too. He doesn't let anyone see him or hear his voice (besides Vermouth) because it would undermine his authority. The FBI and CIA can't pin him down because no one expects a child mastermind. It would be a pretty damn cool twist and a great final opponent for Conan because he has to trap a mirror of himself in a way that convinces adults, only his doppelganger has decades of experience and the force of the Organization to back him.(This idea is elaborated on in Chek's theories at DCTP's story discussion board) --- I seriously doubt Conan/Shinichi and pals are going to "raid the enemy base." Conan (it will most likely be primarily Conan's intellectual effort) is going to very cleverly trap them by manipulating events so they turn out to his liking. The boss and the rest of the org meanwhile will be doing the same. Shinichi might not even have all his facts lined up going in, but he will somehow manage to pull it out in the end with something jawdropping in its cleverness. How I think the end will work out. I imagine it will go down like a slightly more epic version of the confrontation with Vermouth; Conan will spend the majority of the time laying the plan and figuring out how to use the information accumulated over the course of the series to his advantage. Finally, there will be some triggering event that will cause Conan to put the plan into motion; perhaps the B.O. found out something or is threatening something sacred (like Ran). Conan will probably be flying by the seat of his pants at this point. The action will begin after that with both sides seeking to outmaneuver the other using whatever the triggering event is as a framework/setting. To avoid making the manga too mature, Gosho will "protect" Conan's pals and teen friends by having them primarily contribute in ways that don't involve them maiming people or getting too heavily into the line of fire. The police, the FBI, and Kogoro will be taking and giving out the real injuries on the protagonist's side. I expect that Conan will start cashing in some of his trump cards now. (Kir being a mole; Akai being alive, etc. whatever ones he has going in) Despite Conan's best efforts, everything will fall apart and look hopeless as the boss takes everything in stride and dominates the intellectual playing field with his own cunning traps. It will look pretty grim for Conan. The climax will probably be when Conan (not Shinichi but Conan), seemingly backed into a corner, reveals that the organization walked into his completely amazing, out-from-left-field trap. All of Conan's mysterious actions that didn't fit previously suddenly fall into place. Now is a good time for Conan to reveal his true identity. (Expect Ran to be party to the conversation somehow.) The Syndicate's last ditch struggle will probably involve something blowing up. This will provide a convenient karmic finish for the badguys who are unlikely to get carted off to prison, like Gin. Vermouth will probably have had the opportunity to interfere and ruin Conan's master plan completely, but she will have chosen not to for her own reasons. She may even have helped a little. When the dust has settled, Haibara will complete the antidote and Shinichi and Ran will be together and have their long awaited sappy love confession. (I hope Ran gives him a much deserved slap or fist to the face for lying all this time to her.) Conan/Shinichi will cry. (I'm not sure when or what the situation will be but it is bound to happen.) Also, Ai will genuinely smile, shocking the heck out of everyone including me. She may or may not take the antidote herself. (I think not personally.) I wonder if Ai will have confessed to Conan as well during the course of events? (If so, Conan probably had no idea it was coming.) I'm not sure Kaito Kid will even have a role in the end. --- I think the boss had some relation to a case involving Mouri Kogoro or his family at some point in time, possibly related to why Kogoro became a police officer, or is a Mouri himself. The reason why is because it would be odd story-structure wise to not have all of the three main characters (Kogoro, Ran, Shinichi) significantly involved in the final plot, Gosho likes to connect people in the past (childhood friends, past meetings prior to storyline via school or job, but also coincidental [Heiji-Shinichi, Kaitou Kid-Shinichi, Akai-Vermouth-Ran-Shinichi, Yukiko-Kaitou Kid-Vermouth, Agasa-Miyanos, etc.]), and the Mouri family non-romance history is noticeably blank. --- Vermouth and Jodie still have unfinished business with each other. I imagine the two of them will have their own version of a rematch. Also, I expect Yukiko will play a role, either indirectly by creating a disguise for someone to help out or directly since they two have an unresolved past with one another. If Kaito Kid is going to have a part in the takedown of any B.O. member, it will be Vermouth. (I don't think Kaito will though...) My guess is Vermouth will come cleanly out of the confrontation though, because she is going to need to resolve the "why does Vermouth seem to be betraying the org by not informing them about Conan and Ai" subplot. Also there are "Vermouth's connection to the Miyano's", "Vermouth's aging wonkiness", "Why does Vermouth flip Ai out more than other Org members?", and "Why is Vermouth the boss's favorite?" subplots as well that hasn't been touched on that will need to get wrapped up near the end. I think Shiho Miyano will be involved here. I think Vermouth's part of the final confrontation will emphasize the past of the org, it's research goals, and Vermouth's connection to Ai through her parents rather than the identity of the boss. I think Vermouth is either going to escape or will die by her own action or inaction, with the possibility of her betraying the org in the process rather than Jodie taking her out. Gin's role in the final confrontation will almost certainly be figuring out that it was Conan who has been causing the damage, but not necessarily his identity as Shinichi. Almost every time Gin appears in a confrontation so far, a hint is dropped for him about Conan's interference. Gin just hasn't pieced them together yet, and he will almost certainly be the one who will. Expect him to go after Conan with a vengeance. Also subplots related to him are "his relationship with Shiho", and "his past and motives for working in the org". Akai's vendetta with Gin will almost guarantee an epic matchup between them. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they both take each other out, if only that I would feel really bad for Jodie who would be left behind again... I don't think Shiho will play much of a roll in the confrontation, other than as Gin's target or maybe having a conversation at gunpoint with him. A lot of people have pointed out in the "how will Gin die" thread that Gin is unlikely to get carted of in chains... Akai will definitely have role in the close to the end if his Okiya disguise is not revealed at the finale of the Bourbon arc. My guess is that Conan will use him and Kir if Kir is still unknown as a mole as a trump card against the org, but while "causing the org damage" will not be the "critical hit" Conan hoped because the boss has mad intelligence/caution/anticipation skills. My guess is that Conan's plan will appear to go to hell in a handbasket, but then it is revealed at the end that in easily overlooked insignificant details Conan had been laying the foundation for a master plan. I think Kogoro and Ran and probably no one else will be Conan's primary "helpers" in the confrontation with the boss. I also think a temporary antidote will be involved as well which will invoke the Conan=Shinichi reveal. --- This one edited some. After the final confrontation, Shinichi takes the permanent antidote and he and Ran get together. Ran will definitely cry. They'll finally kiss or at least try to. Ran will have saved Shinichi at some point during the final confrontation. She will also have been made a damsel in distress. Kogoro will get a shining moment. If Kogoro knew Shinichi was Conan, we find out Kogoro was hitting Conan every time he was looking too smart as a warning, not because he hated kids. Maybe he suspected Conan was Shinichi all along and simply played the role because he was waiting for Shinichi to reach a point where he could tell Kogoro the truth. Shiho may take a temporary antidote for purposes of the last battle but she never takes the complete version because she wants to remain as Ai Haibara. The detective kids figure out/directly observe Conan was Shinichi and are made to keep quiet about it because deaging shouldn't become known to the world. Ayumi cries. Haibara gets revenge on Shinichi for this somehow per the promise she made about not making Ayumi cry. Vermouth either betrays the org by either helping Shinichi at some point in the last fight or more likely pseudo-betrays by choosing inaction during a particular situation which allows Conan to get a key advantage. She either dies or escapes. I favor escaping. Maybe she will steal a permanent antidote from Haibara and age properly. I don't think Jodie will get her. Vodka gets arrested. If Akai and Shiho never had their talk at the end of the Bourbon arc and Akai is not dead now, they have their chitchat now. Heiji actually figures out what those weird feeling towards Kazuha mean. She will call him an idiot multiple times. Kaito Kid doesn't get caught nor has much contribution to the finale. Kogoro and Eri may or may not get back together, but they'll have a talk and resolve some of their differences. They'll have a comedic argument during this however. --- I think each of the major factions (FBI, Police, Hattori) will chip something in on the final sprint to the end. The "final showdown" so to speak will probably only involve the core characters; however, Gosho leads in to the org showdowns in the form of an "investigation phase": cases where incidentally Conan gathers hints and tries to piece the picture together. My guess is that each major party will chip in some necessary observation or clue during the "investigation phase" to help Conan assemble the final puzzle. This way, everyone gets to help out, but avoids cluttering the storyline with too many people at the same time. An alternate way would be to have an extended final showdown which is broken into sections where different groups of characters are important, culminating in a "final final showdown" where only the core characters take part. ...Or some combination of both... --- Haibara will stay as Haibara in the end even though I don't think she would run away from her crimes if she took the antidote. The primary reason I think she will stay small is because she has no one to go back to as Shiho, but has made a lot of contacts as Ai; Shiho has no future, but Ai does. --- DCTP just went offline so I will have to search for more posts later.

Including the translated Chek included above, I've read at least five different interpretations of it -- whether the person being silent is Akai or his ideal girlfriend, and similarly, whether the chatty person is Amuro himself or his ideal girlfriend. To sum it up, though, the idea is that neither Akemi nor Jodie fits the type of girl who is quiet and/or able to maintain her presence even without anything being said, so does Akai actually like ... Haibara?

Hi everyone, As you may have seen already, the site's design was refreshed a bit: - We're now using new fonts throughout the site (besides the forum and wiki). - The main site is now responsive (mobile-friendly). - The homepage was revamped. The banner may change in the near future. - There's a new simple template of the Wiki's mobile version. Besides the design, the forum was upgraded to the latest version as well as the wiki (which required that I reworked some of the custom plugins for DCW, hence why it took more time than expected). Hello! Thank You for visiting here. After a long time thinking, finally I decided to upload my drawings. So, here they are: Conan Edogawa - It is the still from the movie "The Last Wizard Of The Century". Kaitou Kid - I found the Kid's picture on google and decided to give it a try. DC - I took ideas from the manga covers, posters, movie stills, etc. Hope you like them.

The updates are almost over. There are a few minor issues that I need to address. Since it requires a bit of testing (due to the changes that come with the latest version of the Wiki platform), it might take another day or so. Thank you for your patience.

Hello everyone, As you have noticed, the forum was down for some time in order to solve a major spam-flooding issue. The spammers would be able to register (probably manually - i.e. through human intervention) and then flood the boards really fast. I've had no choice but to rollback the forum to a decent enough date (without a huge mass of spammy content), which is the 1st of February. We apologize for this urgent undertaking. Fortunately, because of the spam, people weren't creating that many legitimate content and therefore not that much was lost normally. I also took this opportunity to upgrade the forum software. Here's what I implemented to control such issues in the future: The registration form was modified a bit more to further prevent automated/bot registration. When a member registers now, they will be in the Members group which now has the following restrictions: There is a flooding control time of 5 minutes (they have to wait 5 minutes after posting something to post something else). They can also only post 3 times per day and the first few posts need to be approved before going up. They won't be able to upload profile photos/covers. There'll be a limit on number of private messages and reactions they can do per day. Besides posting, there will be some more restrictions (such as the inability to upload attachments). Once a member from the "Members" group reaches 10 posts and their account is older than 30 days, they will be moved to the "Advanced" group. The Advanced group will reduce the flooding control time to 3 minutes. They won't have that many restrictions and will be just like normal members (i.e. just the way the Members group was before). After they reach 50 posts and their account is older than 30 days, they will be moved to the "Renowned" group. "Renowned" members will have the flooding control time reduced to only 30 seconds. I know that it can be a bit tedious for new members and I sincerely apologize for that but there just aren't any realistic way to completely eradicate spamming once a site with community/interactive features reaches a certain amount of traffic: it'll always be subjected to more and more innovative spam attacks (or worse). New members, I really hope you'll be willing to show a little bit of patience with this process. Fortunately, once you get to the "Advanced" group, it'll be so much better in general! The Facts: The next movie is set to feature Amuro. The Movie 21 teaser was seven-segment electronic display counting down from 5 with a metropolis in the background, and Amuro spoke the final countdown number Zero, a reference to the PSB. My Speculation: We will see the logical followup of the anime/movie introduced character development from Movie 20 that Rei Furuya knew Matsuda Jinpei from police academy, and learned bomb defusal from him. Someone who likes setting bombs with mysterious clues is gonna go nuts, most likely in Tokyo since that is PSB territory, and Conan, Amuro, and whatever characters of the day are being served will go put a stop it. The seven-segment display countdown is a reference to a bomb countdown display like most DC bombs use. If this is the case, I'd expect new character Hyoue Kuroda to take a front-seat role in the movie replacing Matsumoto as the shouty police pusher..

No one has bothered Conan for the soccer ball kicks to peoples' faces, breaking and entering, destruction of private and public property, underage drinking, impersonating police officers, tampering with evidence, tampering with the scene of the crime, administering drugs to civilians and police officers in the line of duty without consent, assisting foreign agents in an illegal investigation, assisting criminals, possession of forged documents, firing of handguns (illegal in Japan), reckless disregard of road rules, and contributing to the delinquency of minors.

Opinion: Shuuichi balked and Scotch had to help him through. Also thank you Gosho for making Shuuichi's butt spacious enough to write a whole paragraph on.

Verdict: Correct. Technical explanation: The toxin acts on binds on voltage dependant Sodium channels present on the surface of Cardiac muscle, Skeletal Muscles and Neurons. They prolong the opening of Sodium channels, thus causing depolarisation phase to last longer causing an upstroke in the Action potential. As a result, the membrane cannot be repolarized. Translation for lay people: It allows Sodium ions to move inside the cell causing increased Sodium concentration leading to physical manifestations. Notes on accuracy in DC: Although it is true that Aconitine has neurotoxic properties, it only causes generalised muscular weakness. Its most adverse toxic effect is seen in the Heart. Death is often due to Ventricular Arrhythmia. Final note: I won’t be delving much into the treatment part but if by any 0.1% chance someone accidentally encounters such a situation, drinking strong coffee can actually hamper the progression of the poisoning. That DOES NOT mean you don’t need to go to a hospital. Something interesting: In numerous lab experiments, it has been observed that Tetrodotoxin is able to act as an antidote in Aconite poisoning since they both show mutual antagonistic effect towards each other. Of course, we don’t administer Tetrodotoxin as it is super lethal and there are way better drugs out there. But still, a poison used to kill another poison and acting like an antidote is pretty cool though :3

Anyway, on topic, I personally get annoyed with Shiho for the same reason I am annoyed with Shinichi - she keeps secrets she shouldn't because she fails to trust others and in doing so causes unnecessary danger to those around her by not offering up information in a timely manner. While I understand that she may have psychological damage from being in the Organization and good reason to think Shinichi might run off and get himself killed if she tells him too much, it would behoove her to explain all the capabilities of Organization members to Conan immediately and not hide her suspicions if she fears she is being investigated. For instance, the moment she sensed Vermouth she should have explained to Conan that they might be dealing with a master of disguise. Conan would have been more careful around Araide (and everyone else in general) from the start and avoided a great deal of trouble.

I don't think it's very popular, but then again I also don't feel like it deserves to be any more well known than it already is. In my opinion, there are far better anime out there that deserve much more attention (whether they receive it or not is a separate issue all together) and currently DC gets as much love as it is worth. It's far from the best thing I've watched/read, but it's also far from the worst. Only reason I see it as better than average is because of nostalgia. As for the big three shounen, Naruto is over (kinda), no one really gives Bleach the light of day anymore, and the only thing worth any attention is One Piece. Their reign on the anime community is crumbling, that's for sure. A bit off topic, but anime is nothing like it used it be over a decade and a half ago. No one wants to watch a never ending series, so those have been virtually snuffed out of existence. The age of fansubs are coming to an end now that Crunchyroll and Funimation have monopolized the market. The times they are a-changin', for better or worse.

Reading this topic reminds me of the moronic facebook posts made by some girls who thought the Boston Bomber brothers were innocent because one of them was cute. Yes, that was a thing. Justice is blind for a good reason. I find Shinichi and Ran idealistic when it comes to their principles about murder. One way to look at ethics is to measure how much someone values sticking to good principles versus good outcomes. A principle-driven person would not support bad means even if it led to a very good end, while an outcome-driven person would be upset when good principles prevented good ends. Shinichi and Ran are both very principled, and that works well in places like Japan which is attentive to crime. It is hard to be principled in places that are unfair. For instance, there have been lots of cases in India where repeat rapists and killers who kept getting away because of connections or threats were then killed by mobs. (Akku Yadav was a famous one.) That's why I think that Shinichi and Ran are idealistic - they are inexperienced when it comes to struggles others have to face in unfair places. Mostly I hate it when Gosho tries to say one side of the ethics measure I mentioned above is the right one. There was a moment of really strong values dissonance in the fandom when Sera tried to get that hostage taker shot in Mouri agency hostage case but Ran stopped her because she didn't want him to be killed. Gosho made it seem like Sera was worse than Ran for trying to put a good outcome ahead of good principles. I don't like that sort of simplistic thinking about ethics. Both sides have their merits.

Calling it now: an AO character with heterochromia designed to take advantage of Rum hype. The only reason Rum has been teased up for the movie was to entice fans to jump to conclusions and agitate the hype sectors. (Don't mistake this for jaded pessimism. I actually completely disagree with Kuroda being RUM, these are my thoughts on the whole RUM thing: There are 3 suspects so far that have a chance of being RUM, they are: 1) Kansuke Yamato, although i doubt it since he doesn't have an artificial eye(though he may have been putting it in front of organization members), and since he is the first suspect I also doubt it,, besides, he saw Haibara, and unless 'RUM' doesn't know Shiho or knows her but is like vermouth and hides the fact that he knows she is Haibara from the organization(I doubt both cases) he should've already reported her a long time ago. Besides, he isn't that old, and the reason I think RUM is old is because I highly doubt someone who is young and thus hasn't been with the organization for long could make it to the second in command, unless he did something unbelievable, but I still highly doubt it. 2) Kiyonaga Matsumoto, although he injured his eye, and it might be artificial, i just can't see him being mistaken for feminine or old, however, it is also very likely that the characteristics of 'RUM' aren't what we think they are, but anyway he's 54 years old, I still think he's too young to be the 2nd in command. 3) Hyoue Kuroda who was just introduced in the latest chapter(913), he is 50 years old, his right eye is injured, and he is a well-built man, according to chapter 914, he was in a 10 year-long coma because of an accident and after it he looked like a completely different person. He is also clearly acting suspiciously, and he knows that Conan is the mastermind behind sleeping Kogoro. Some people say that Hyoue sounds like a female name, although even if that was true, one RUM's characteristics is a feminine man, not a woman, so I'm not so sure. The reason why most people think he is RUM is because his name is Kuroda, Kuro means black but to me, the more obvious it is, the less suspicious it is(we've already been trolled with Jodie and Okiya, not to mention the other characters in these arcs, and I honestly think it's way too early to decide who is RUM, I think the whole RUM arc might be as long as the Bourbon arc since it started in the same way, Kir warns the FBI about a new member, then about 20 chapters later someone with the characteristics of that member is introduced). 'RUM' might just be a new character we have never seen though. But I'm sure it's not Yamato, and it's also not Kuroda, and the obvious reason is because he reminds me of a certain character back in the Vermouth arc: Jodie, Jodie did a lot of suspicious things and seemed to know about how smart Conan is, so she was the most obvious choice for being Vermouth, however it was clearly not the case, so the same applies to this guy, he is not RUM(although to be fair, Kuroda looks way more evil than Jodie, you can tell by his eyes, but I think that RUM would still look more evil, since even Gin looks way more evil than Kuroda, anyway it's normal that he looks evil, since this is one of the suspect of being the 2nd in command we're talking about, he has to do things that are very suspicious, who knows, maybe he would know Conan is Shinichi, besides there are other things that make me doubt he is RUM such as his age, and the comma that he's been in, since it's hard to imagine the 2nd in command being in a 10-year long comma, since the BO would probably have some problems.), not to mention there is also something weird about him if he was RUM, he has a big burn mark that surrounds his artificial eye, which should be easily distinguishable, so it should've been one of the characteristics of RUM that were told of Haibara, it is also likely that members would also tell Haibara which eye is artificial, since it's clear from the burn mark. However, I'm pretty sure he is a plot-related character(and also, when I'm looking for a suspect of being a member of the BO, I try to see their actions and which ones are not explainable, and when it comes to Kuroda, his actions can be explained easily, it's simply that the Nagano police really know that Conan is the mastermind behind Sleeping Kogoro, so it's natural that he also knows, however, if a suspect of being RUM does something that can't be explained by normal ways, then he's most probable RUM), because so far, every single suspect of being a member of the BO who turned out not to be that member was later shown to be a plot related character, examples are: Jodie, Shuichi, James Black, Eisuke, Okiya(who is Shuichi) and Masumi, but the thing is, if he is plot-related, what would he be? Is he just someone from the police who is investigating about the BO? Or is he an MI6 agent who is working in the police while also investigating the BO? Anyway When it comes to RUM I still think that it can't be any of these 3, because in my opinion, RUM has to have been one of the original members of the BO, or the first member along side the boss and Vermouth, which is why he has to be at least 70, and non of these people are that old, besides, non of them really show the 3 characteristics of RUM, although for some reason, I think that RUM's characteristics are not what we think they are, maybe there is some sort of secret or trick behind them, like for example, it may be related to RUM's actions rather than appearance, like some members heard or saw RUM do something feminine, some others heard or saw him do something old people would do, and others heard or saw him do something only a strong man could do, or it might be related to the generations of the BO, like, the old members remember young RUM as a feminine man, the younger members remember him the middle aged RUM as a strong man, and the young members who joined not too long ago remember him as an old man, because unless RUM's characteristics are not physical, he can't be one of those 4, but anyway the reason I think RUM has to be one of the first members of the BO is because as I said in Yamato's case, I don't think any member can just become the 2nd in command unless they have been an original member, since I doubt the boss would trust anyone with that rank so it has to be someone old, so for now I'm voting for a new character. As for RUM's personality, I think it would be like Gin and the boss, it's like Gin as in he would probably be suspicious of anything, and would take care of it immediately, and it's like the boss as in he would be extremely cautious, I think that while the boss would give an important order, RUM is the one to do the action, like for example, I noticed something, the fact that every time someone says it's an order from 'Anokata' to justify there acts, the other members wouldn't even say a word, which makes me think that maybe if someone opposes the boss, they would be killed, although it might just be because of their loyalty, but let's just say that they would be killed, I think that RUM is the one to execute them. I also think that RUM is probably a type of person that will give you one chance, and if you disobey him once, you'll be killed, for example, in an alternative path, instead of Akemi meeting Gin, she met RUM, when she told Gin that the organization should release her sister and then she'll tell them the whereabouts of the money, Gin said that they won't and that it's her last chance, while I think that RUM would've killed her immediately. But when it comes to RUM's objective, it's really hard to figure it out since this is the 2nd in command we're talking about, usually whenever a member is on the move, they are not even an executive member, but this time, it's the boss' right hand man, so what is his goal? well, after thinking about it, there can only be 3 objectives: 1) He is going after Kudo Shinichi, after all maybe the boss and Gin are starting to have doubts about Shinichi's death, so RUM's objective may be to gather information about it. 2) He is looking into the members of the organization to see if any one is an undercover spy for another group, and since RUM is probably the most loyal member, he can judge the others. 3) And this one is my favorite, he is looking for new members, and not just any new members, scientists and programmers, since when you think about it, it's unreasonable for the BO to stop their main goal, the only reason they weren't working on it is probably because the priority was Sherry's death, and now that she's dead to the BO, there is no way that the BO is just going to forget about the program and the drug, and since it is related to the BO's main goal, RUM is the most capable member of doing this objective. Although it could be all these 3 objectives together. And btw I'm new to this forum . Oh and as for RUM or Kuroda being Akai's father, it's doubtful, especially in Kuroda's case, but first, I'll talk about why RUM is not likely to be Akai's father, you see, Akai was infiltrating the organization for 3 years, if RUM is his father, then that means one of 2 things, the first of them is that he's also undercover, which no one wants, and the second one is that he's loyal and he just stayed silent about Akai being undercover, but you could say that he didn't know he was undercover or that he didn't even meet him, but anyway Akai's father is supposed to be dead and there is nothing to prove otherwise, his estimated time of death is probably 16-10 years ago, and it doesn't really make since if he faked it at that time, one would expect him to fake his death(if he did) when he joined the organization. As for Kuroda being his father, that is not possible, first of all the eye thing was only in one chapter and it didn't even resemble Akai's eyes much, then we all know that Akai and Sera got their eyes from their mother, not their father, so that pretty much cancels the whole thing, if anything Kuroda should look like Shukichi(since he's the middle brother) yet he doesn't.
