== Background ==
Keiko appears to be a close friend of [[Aoko Nakamori]], possibly her best friend after [[Kaito Kuroba]]. It is not stated how long the girls have known each other. In the plot of Magic Kaito, Keiko often serves the same purpose that [[Sonoko Suzuki]] does to [[Ran Mouri]]: that of friend and foil to the female main character.

She attends Ekoda High along with [[Aoko Nakamori|Aoko]], [[Kaito Kuroba|Kaito]], [[Akako Koizumi]], and [[Saguru Hakuba]].
