Not only will people exchange reps with one another (make deals through PMing like what Parkur said), but there may also be the issue of multiple account making. It would be a new form of spamming if reps were to determine member titles. Having ranks for # of posts/reps will only provoke more spamming, so I think we should keep the "member title" system the way it is for now.
