Well folks, it's finally here! This is the one chapter of Magic Kaito that had not been translated yet, and now I'm happy to say that it has!

Folks who have seen the anime adaptation from OVA 4 ("Conan, Kid, and the Crystal Mother") will see some differences, though mostly minor stuff. Tthe main baddie is someone familiar to Magic Kaito manga readers.

I just want to say thanks to the folks at DCTP for helping us and lending a big hand in getting this thing done. Without you guys, this whole thing would have never gotten off the ground in the first place, and I appreciate the opportunity to be able to work with you guys. I'd also like to thank Abs. specifically, for the translations, and for being a good sport while I was most likely being an irritant most of the time. :-* And of course, big thanks to Sky for her beautiful work on the entire chapter. She did such an incredible job.

What's an anime convention, you ask? Well, you've come to the right thread! Anime conventions are a one-stop shop where you can meet your favorite actors and artists, listen to cool music, watch new and old anime, attend panels run by fans of the same shows you like, see people walking around dressed up in cosplay, buy swag that you can't find in your average store, and view and buy art that people just like you have made!

There are conventions happening around the world almost every weekend. I've added the city of each one to its calendar entry, and more information can be found at that particular convention's website, or at animecons.com, which will probably then point you to the specific site ;;

See Napshot64's post for further details.

For that reason, I've added a new section called "Shop". This will not only allow you to show your support to the series by buying books, dvds and more but will also be a great way to start building your very own personal DC collection of, well, anything or everything! The section is also very well categorized to make the experience as pleasant and easy as possible. And if you would like to see more categories (or items), feel free to let us know. As always, feedback is most welcome!

Another interesting thing is that a very small commission will be given to DCW for each item that you buy. If you can't donate, this would be a great way to support the site and help pay the bills! And who knows, maybe on the long term, we'll be able to move the site to an actual dedicated server that would be much faster and provide more possibilities and features! More details on the Support page.

Therefore, it's a win-win-win situation. Win for the producers and licensees, Win for DCW and Win for you!

Let's show our support to the Case Closed franchise! It would be sad to lose the English version of the series. It's always great to have a variety of versions that only constitute an enrichment to the experience and make the series much more accessible to people from all around the world who have yet to discover the wonderful world of Detective Conan!

We received a few requests from people wanting to have access to the episodes (and movies, ovas, etc...) lists even though videos still cannot be viewed at this time. These requests seem reasonable since the lists would be used for informational purposes only, at least for the time being.

I cannot yet affirm how this whole Watch section will turn out but I wouldn't be surprised if it changed even further in the future (maybe for the best? and hopefully not for the worst...).

Anyway, do enjoy this new addition, well, "old-new" I should say.
The other cool thing is that the chat box is also present in that section which I'm sure many of you will enjoy and/or find practical!

As you could have seen, the website has been down for the past few days. We've run into some issues and had to change host. As you probably noticed as well, the Watch section is currently unavailable. It seems that the site was becoming a little too "popular" for the "important" people and a DMCA was filed to our host regarding DCW. It seems that even though the videos are hosted on Youtube, the fact that we're linking to them on the site is enough to shout copyright infringement...
Which is really odd judging by the activities of many popular anime and drama sites who openly embed 100x more videos! (including DC ones). My guess is that the site was ranking really well in Google (maybe too well?) and was attracting a lot of fans. If it was not that popular, I'm pretty sure we would not have had any issues to date.

Therefore, I regret to inform you that the Watch section will be unavailable until further notice. I hope we can come up with a working solution in the future but I cannot promise anything at this time.

I do believe that the Wiki is still one of the main features of DCW and as long as this stays, DCW will remain true to its goal of becoming the ultimate DC resource on the net! And I will keep working as hard as I can on improving and turning this site into a true DC reference and a great place for DC fans to hang out!

I understand if you wish to stop supporting the site now that there are no more videos to watch but we will still always appreciate any support you wish to provide. You're more than welcome to stick around with us and show how big and strong the DC community can really be. The wiki, although far from complete, is right now the most comprehensive and complete library there is on the net about DC. We, at DCW, are really proud of how it turned out and that's definitely something big and worth sticking around for. And the more contributors, the merrier!

To finish, I plan to add more features to the site in the future. So, watch out for them. ^^

Since the scripts were sending a lot of emails, I do believe those activities were most likely the cause of all the recent issues we've been having regarding email notifications not being sent. Normally, this problem should be fixed as well now.

I'll keep you posted in the case of any new development.
